The Quintessential Tequila Cocktail

Skip the margarita. Elevate your tequila game with this Paloma recipe from Augusta’s favorite influential bartender.

For the longest time I didn’t drink any tequila-based cocktails other than margaritas. I love margs. They are a go-to order for me at most restaurants. When I came across the recipe for the Paloma on Augusta’s favorite influential bartender’s Instagram (Zach, otherwise known as @all.equal.parts), it was an introduction to a whole new world.

I knew I had to recreate the drink and try it for myself. I quickly took a screenshot of his post and set off to attempt to make it look at least half as good as his creation. This drink is refreshing and light – making it the perfect substitute for a marg. *chef’s kiss*

Most Paloma recipes call specifically for grapefruit soda – but this recipe calls for grapefruit juice and club soda, which are a lot more common to find around the house. Just like Zach said in his post, we love a recipe that incorporates easy to find ingredients.

It took me a few tries to get it exactly how I wanted it (too much tequila, too little, etc.) After a few tests, I finally concocted the one that made my tastebuds sing. Keep scrolling for Zach’s recipe.
